FILM MAGAZINE: Empire title

After researching and attempting to find a font similar to the Empire film title, I was unsucessful. As for the magazine cover I wanted to create something which looks like a real Empire magazine cover, I know that this text is essential.
From looking at other magazine covers, such as:

I saw how I could easily use the Magic Wand Tool in Photoshop to select each letter individually and then add it to a film magazine cover of my own for an authentic look.

An aspect which I would like to experiment with is the differences between the placing/ view of the titles, for example this:

or this:

These two images differ as in one the Empire title can be seen clearly, but the other the focus is more on the image. I believe that this aspect all depends on what type of image you have. For example if the Tron Legacy image covered the Empire Magazine logo, it would hardly be visible, so an image like the one used for the Sherlock Holmes 2 cover works better, as only the P and I are covered.
