FILM POSTER/ MAGAZINE: Creating a film poster or magazine cover using Adobe Illustrator

Using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, we produced a simple tester for a film poster. We used Photoshop to darken and lighten some areas of the image to make it look better using the dodge and burn tools. We then used Adobe Illustrator to cut out the image and place it on the background we want. Then we added text to make it look more like a film poster.
These techniques could also be used to create our film magazine cover, as an Empire magazine displays a lot of text, so this would be useful.
