'Paranormal Activity 3' trailer

Length: 1:37
Techniques/ Ideas for our trailer:
In between scenes screens lke this and similar are included. This creates a feeling of unease for the audience, as they cannot be sure of what's going on. Using this adds to the suspense created in the whole trailer, making the film seem a lot more interesting and exciting.

In this film the use of 'home video' recording is used. This works well as it gives the viewer the feeling that they are really there, and that this is real. I have not decided if I want to use this, or just point of views shots, as it may be difficult in our film to make this look affective and also to display why it is being recorded by the characters themselves.

This clip is less than a second long, a very quick flash, which helps adding to the mystery of what the supernatural being in this film is.

Titles:
All of the text used for this trailer is a faded white colour, which is a colour usually connected with ghosts. On the title 'Paranormal Activity 3' the '3' is very prominant against the other text, but it is still affective as it's glowing, adding to the ghostly look to the text.
The last title and clip of the whole trailer is 'October', showing what month this will be released. As there is not an exact date, this ensures the viewers to stay interested to know when it will be released.

Narrative/ Storyline:
Begins with shots of the family together giving a friendly, calm feeling. This then all changes when one of the little girls looks at the camera, and quick shots of supernatural events are included.

Dialogue:
Dialogue is used at the beginning when the two young girl characters are playing, which gives off a feeling of their innocense which juxtaposes with the quick shots of supernatural events. This gives off an uncomfortable feeling that nobody is safe in this film, not even young girls.
