Analysis of Paranormal Activity 2 teaser (Horror)

This trailer above is a teaser, as it is shorter than usual trailers but also contains a lot less information about the film, for example it cannot be made clear what exactly the storyline is, but it just contains the scariest and most shocking parts of a film which is what a teaser trailer always consists of - the best parts so that the audience sees the film as exciting.
By having included parts of the film where everything is settled (meaning nothing is happening) and then having something shocking happen and jump out, this gives the effect that the film will have overall in cinemas, meaning the viewer will be more attracted to wanting to watch this film.
Also, like teasers have, this has short clips made up into one trailer to create a fast pace, meaning the film seems exciting. A trailer would be different as it would have longer shots, explaining what the story line of the film is, instead of just having the scariest moments.
There are intertitles included to show that the film does appeal to many ('In 2009 you demanded it'), and also by including quick shots of an audience watching Paranormal Activity, it shows many watched this, meaning they will watch this also. These quick shots of an audience also capture the fear when they were watching, showing that this film will be exciting.
